This course is an introductory course to help trainees understand what trauma is and what impact it can have on individuals. Participants will gain tips and other strategies to help and serve individuals with trauma as professionals.
In this course, participants will:
- Become familiar with the definition, indicators and types of traumas
- Understand how trauma and stress impacts individuals and their brains
- Gain a deeper understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
- Learn strategies to support others in coping with their trauma
