Current Openings

Human Services at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education is currently seeking instructors with curriculum development expertise to both develop and train courses in the following areas. We are not accepting applicants for other topic areas at this time.

Adult Services (All Areas)

Requires county experience with Adult Services or IHSS

Clerical

County experience required; CalSAWS experience preferred

Eligibility, including:

  • Medi-Cal
  • CalFresh
  • CalWORKS
  • Welfare Fraud / Fair Hearing

CalSAWS experience required.

Welfare to Work / Employment Services, including:

  • Welfare to Work
    • CalSAWS experience required
  • Linkages​​​​​​​
  • CalFresh Employment and Training

Housing Support Programs

Three or more years of experience required; HMIS knowledge required.

Becoming an Instructor with UC Davis Human Services

Instructors for our Human Services programs include professionals and consultants from a variety of disciplines, agencies, colleges and universities from a wide Human Services fields, including Adult Services, Behavioral Health Services, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, Welfare to Work, Employment Services, Child Welfare, Probation, Tribal Social Services, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, Child Care and Early Education. Instructors also support a wide range of training and workforce development services, including virtual and in-person training, curriculum development, coaching, technical assistance, organizational development services, consultation, facilitation, County Self-Assessment support and more. 

Instructors are chosen based upon:

  • Academic training
  • Prior professional and teaching experience
  • Interviews and demonstrated teaching ability
  • Bibliographic materials
