Inclusive Leadership, Establishing a Shared Foundation to Lead Forward

Diversity, Equity, inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) has become a business imperative for human services agencies across California. However there remains widespread confusion around what inclusion is and how to create it in everyday workplace situations.

This 2-day course aims to foster leaders’ inclusive mindsets and practices so that they develop next-level leadership knowledge and skills to elevate individual, business, and community success. Leaders will deepen their understanding of the benefits of diversity and start to unpack their own biases that may be hindering the process towards creating that inclusive and belonging environment where all staff feel valued, empowered, and given equitable opportunities to thrive in the workplace.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

• Identify their personal/professional bias
• Work to mitigate bias in their workplace
• Equip learners to start to develop inclusive cultures where everyone feels valued and respected.
