In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) 101

IHSS 101 provides a theoretical understanding of the IHSS program goals. This training will explore each of the four programs that make up the IHSS overall program and their respective eligibility criteria. Participants will be able to describe the eligibility criteria associated with each IHSS program, explain complex IHSS-related topics and expeditiously acquire the knowledge, skills and resources to enhance capacities in the overall understanding of the IHSS program.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define In-Home Supportive Services and describe how the program is administered
  • Identify each of the four programs that make up the IHSS overall program and their respective funding source
  • Analyze the use of the Annotated Assessment Criteria
  • Demonstrate acquisition of knowledge through transfer of learning activities
