Answering the Call to Greatness: Resilience and Accountability for the helping professional

Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress. It means “bouncing back” from difficult experiences, and feeling stronger and more capable to cope with challenges than ever before. Resilient people demonstrate great flexibility, high energy, mental agility and consistently preform at their highest level. They have strong relationships and support networks that help them to amplify their productivity and results. Research indicates that a person’s level of happiness is correlated to the level of accountability they choose to take – in spite of the circumstances. The beauty of resilience and accountability is that while everyone has natural tendencies when facing adversity, there are also learnable skills that increase individual resilience that promote personal accountability for desired outcomes. This workshop will provide helping professionals with an opportunity to “bulletproof” themselves – by teaching them to anticipate future change, welcome it, and then capitalize on the opportunity it presents without defense or chaos. We will explore effective strategies to achieve sustainable, measurable change immediately, ditch the drama, restore sanity to the workplace and turn excuses into results!
