Family engagement requires the ability to establish and maintain a partnership with family members. Engaging families begins at the family’s first contact with your agency and continues throughout their experience with you.
Participants will:
- Develop a strength-based approach with families
- Learn techniques and strategies to engage and sustain relationships with families
- Be able to appropriately involve families in all phases of case work
- Develop an understanding of each family’s unique family culture
Participants will be prepared to engage families and develop a strong working partnership with them on their journey toward self-sufficiency.
